Have you ever wondered
if Jelly Marbles could grow
in other substances? Well, Jelly
Marble Crystals can grow in
other substances. In class we did all different labs about Jelly Marbles. We had to
create questions that we could that we could answer by doing an experiment with the
Jelly Marbles. My groups question was, “Have you ever wondered if Jelly marbles could
grow in other substances?” We soaked jelly marbles in for about 20min. Then we
observed them for 5 days and wrote down our observations. We also weighed them and
measured their mass with a triple beam balance. We observed that they don’t grow as
big as they would if they were grown in water. Through our research we learned that
the Jelly Marbles can also grow in Perfume, soap, milk, and cologne.
Superabsorbent polymers have many useful purposes. They help the environment
because the superabsorbent polymers are used for erosion control, soil management, and
environmental clean-ups. All of these can help the environment.
The lab my group did was fun, but it was also educational.
