Sigma Theta Tau International, Delta Omega Chapter And Collaborative Partners Present: Continuing the Journey for New Knowledge, Innovations, and Improvements Save the Date: Tuesday, May 17, 2016, 5 pm-8 pm at the Summa Professional Center South Pods, 55 Arch St, Akron, OH Call for Abstracts: Due by February 17, 2016. We invite nurses and students from surrounding clinical settings, colleges, and universities to submit abstracts for oral and poster presentations at our “Continuing the Journey for New Knowledge, Innovations, and Improvements” event. Nurses and students are encouraged to submit abstracts for both completed and “in progress” projects. Delta Omega is pleased to host this event with: Pi Chi Chapter, Akron Children Hospital, Akron General Medical Center, Summa Health System, and The University of Akron. “Continuing the Journey for New Knowledge, Innovations, and Improvements” Abstract Submission Guidelines Due Date: Submit abstracts no later than midnight on February 17, 2016! Abstracts are solicited for (a) performance improvement, (b) evidence-based practice, and (c) nursing research with application to clinical practice, administration, and education. All abstracts must be accompanied by the completed Abstract Submission Form and emailed to Kim Kerr at Kimberly.Kerr@akrongeneral.org no later than midnight on February 17, 2016. Abstracts are double-spaced, 12-point font size, one-inch margins, and limited to 300 words. Abstracts exceeding 300 words are not sent for review. Abstracts include the headings: Purpose, Problem/Background, Methodology, Analysis, Findings, and Implications for Nursing. Abstracts are followed by two learner objectives. Identify measurable outcomes, which complete the sentence: “The learner will be able to …”. Objectives are not included in the 300-word limit. Oral presentations are 15 minutes. E-mail confirmations of completed abstract submissions are sent to verify receipt of the complete submission. All abstracts are blinded for peer review. Lead oral and poster presenters are notified of acceptance by February 16, 2015 and must confirm acceptance and provide biographical forms by February 23, 2015. The poster display method is wall-mounted. Each presenter is responsible for expenses including registration fee, travel, lodging, etc. Program brochures are available, and registration is open beginning March 9, 2015.
