Please read carefully before completing this form
Congratulations on being nominated for one of Challenger Institute’s prestigious major student awards.
Your nomination in one of the five award categories (Aboriginal Student of the Year, Apprentice of the Year,
Trainee of the Year, Vocational Student of the Year, VET in Schools Student of the Year) will be reviewed by a
panel of Challenger Institute directors and up to five finalists per category will be selected.
Finalists will be contacted in early 2016 and invited to attend an interview with the panel, which will ask questions
about you, your career goals and your achievements at Challenger Institute.
Students who are deemed particularly strong candidates by the panel may be invited to attend a second interview
and photo shoot.
All finalists, their employer or school will be invited to attend the Student Awards Ceremony in early 2016, where
the winners of each category will be announced.
Finalists are also automatically in the running for the overall 2015 Student of the Year Award.
Please Note:
Students can also be chosen as a recipient of an Achievement Award in their respective area of study. Winners of
these awards are chosen by lecturing staff and no application form is required.
VET in Schools Student of the Year nominees are not eligible for the overall Student of the Year Award.
Finalists in Challenger’s major award categories may be asked to participate in publicity for Challenger Institute in
the future.
Finalists will be asked to prepare a short speech for the Student Awards Ceremony in the event that they win their
category award.
By completing this nomination form you acknowledge the above and consent to be involved in Challenger
