The spinning of Earth on its axis is called rotation. Earth’s rotation takes ~ 24 hours.

A spring tide occurs when the gravities of the sun and moon combine to produce
higher than normal tides. Spring tides occur when the sun, Earth, and the moon
are nearly in a line.

tides are lower than normal and there is little difference between high tide and
low tide.
