One Week of F.A.S.T. Summer camp with Kindergarten Teacher Mrs. Tracy and her husband
Trent, PE Teacher at Sage Canyon
One week at Camp F.A.S.T. (Fun Activities with Sportsmanship and Teamwork) with Mr. and Mrs.
Tracy! Come join us for a summer camp to remember! The students will have the opportunity to meet
new friends and participate in some of Del Mar’s coolest field games and activities. This local camp is
organized by professional teachers who are committed to creating positive relationships among
students and families in the Del Mar community. There are several themed sessions to choose from,
like our popular “Survivor Camp”, where tribes will Outwit, Outlast, and Outplay each other throughout
the week. There will also be field games, where the kids get to run around playing nothing but the
best outdoor games around. IAll ages welcome.

Picasso’s Peace Dove
Kindergarten
Acrylic
Students learn to read symbols in the world around them. The artist Pablo Picasso helped to establish the
Dove as a symbol of peace that is seen around the world. Kindergarteners’ painted colors and patterns
around this famous symbol. Their collaborative work spreads the feelings of peace and joy.
Around the Neighborhood
1st Grade
Oil Pastel, Acrylic
First grade students study home building around the world. They learned that igloos are dome shaped
and cabins are often made from cylinder shaped logs. For this artwork students created traditional first
grade happy houses from squares and triangles. After coloring with pastels they cut out their houses and
added them to the canvas.
Friendly Faces
1st Grade with painting assistance from 5th grade
Sharpie marker and Acrylic
First graders are learning about portraiture and facial expression linked to emotions. For this lesson they
each added a line drawing self-portrait in sharpie marker. Fifth grade students helped out by carefully
painting around each precious portrait so that the faces would stand out .
Butterfly Garden
2nd Grade
Acrylic and Sharpie marker
Second grade artists had fun creating a butterfly garden landscape. Students paid careful attention to line,
color, and symmetry as they added details to this cheerful composition.
Still Life
2nd Grade

Second graders used still life painting as a way to learn color theory. In this composition they emphasized
primary colors and pastels.
Big City Lights
3rd Grade
Acrylic, Sharpie marker, collage
Third graders have been exploring all the elements of art. Inspired by the artist Wassily Kandinsky’s color
and shape study known as Farbstudie Quadrate the students created the brilliantly colored background
for their line and patterned skyscrapers in the foreground.
Ice Cream Cones
4th Grade
Acrylic
Four graders studied California artist Wayne Thiebaud’s famous food art as inspiration for this delicious
study of color and shape. Students considered different colors association with flavors as they worked to
paint these tasty looking cones.
It’s All Greek to Me
6th Grade
Acrylic
6th Grade students studied Greek architecture and its influence around the world and across time. They
focused on learning about the different orders of architecture columns known as: Doric, Ionic, and
Corinthian. They abstracted elements from these architecture details to create a piece of Contemporary
art painted in a variety of blue tones like the Aegean Sea.
Egyptian Tapestry
6th Grade
Acrylic
6th Grade students studied Ancient Egyptian art to find out how the culture’s artistic tradition represented
aspects of their land and religious beliefs. All the colors used in the creation of this painting were selected
from the unique Egyptian palette. Each color had symbolic meaning, for example, the blue represents the
Nile River, vital to Egyptian life in the desert. The same colors were repeated in a variety of art forms that
we still recognize today as distinctly Egyptian.

 All items are sold “As Is.” The Carmel Del Mar PTA makes no warranties or

 Values indicated for some items are estimates only, and are not warranted by the Carmel
Del Mar PTA for tax purposes or for general values.
 All Auctions items much be paid IN FULL and removed from the premises by the end of
the evening unless other arrangements have been made.
 Carmel Del Mar PTA assumes no liability once payment fro any item has been received

 Items may be claimed only after they have been paid for in full.
 All sales are final and there will be no substitutions, exchanges or refunds.

Silent Auction Rules
 The bidder is to write his/her name, bidder number, and the amount of the bid on the Bid
Sheet under the previous bid.

minimum bid as noted on the Bid Sheet.
 The highest bid on an item’s bid sheet at closing time constitutes the winning bid.
 In the event of a dispute, the Carmel Del Mar - PTA Fiesta Night Event Night Chairs shall

Live Auction Rules




Master of Ceremonies, Cheryl Parker, will conduct the Live Auction.
Bidders raise their hands to signal Auctioneer, and a Spotter will record their name, bid
number, and winning bid.
The highest bid and bid number acknowledged by the Auctioneer shall be the winning bid.
Payment by the winning Bidder may be made immediately following the item’s sales, or
the amount may be charges to the Bidder’s account for payment at the end of auction.
