EXEMPTION REQUEST
Important guidelines: incomplete, inaccurate files or files submitted after the deadline will NOT be
treated. The following elements are essential:






For every exemption request a separate file must be submitted (combined files will NOT be
accepted).
The objectives of the course for which an exemption is requested must be achieved. This must
be clearly indicated. This can be done by pointing at one or more equivalent objectives of
courses for which credits were obtained. This must be documented clearly and completely.
In addition to the objectives the contents of the relevant courses are important too. Therefore
clearly indicate the correspondence between the contents of the course for which an
exemption is requested and the course(s) the exemption request is based upon.
Finally it is important to prove that the course for which an exemption is requested and the
course(s) based on which the exemption is requested have an equivalent level. Evidence for
this can be examples of assignments, evaluation activities, examination questions.
A file is only complete if it is submitted both on paper and digitally (ISP).
The ECTS course description for both courses (the course for which an exemption is requested
and the course(s) the exemption request is based upon) and the official transcript must be
attached to this file. Please highlight on this transcript all courses your exemption request is
based upon.
