Magic Touch Floor Covering – July 2011 to October 2012
Project Manager/Sales – Do all aspects of residential sales from contacting customer to taking
samples to their homes to make selection. Field measured areas that needed flooring and
completed estimate upon their selection of flooring. Managed crew on commercial job site.
Completed bid estimates from prints, gathered pricing for products specifications and completed
bid proposals with totals of floor prep work, products and installation to General Contractors.
Operate fork lift and pole truck to unload and load trucks.
General Floor – June 2006 to July 2011
District Sales Specialist – managed existing accounts , selling not only flooring but also flooring
products and tools to customers ( who are installers and people in the trade ), as well as helping
their customers choose their flooring by explaining the benefits of flooring for the areas they are
looking for. Operated fork lift and pole truck to load and unload trailers.I also marketed a
customer base by telephone or in person through outside sales calls to keep in touch with them
about new products, price changes, monthly specials and kept up dated samples in hand .
Managed commercial projects, estimated bid proposals and operated windows as well as AS-400
systems to place orders. Helped installers lay out flooring estimates for areas needed and helped
end users determine amount of flooring needed for estimates. I was responsible for generating
new accounts through cold calling and self generated leads as well as company generated leads.
Completed end off day reports for cash and credit card payments received as well as daily bank
deposits.
H B Distributing – September 2005 to March 2006
Owner/Operator Food Distribution Business – Owned and operated food distribution business.
Acquired a customer base by cold calling on restaurants by telephone or by in person, acquired
orders from customers, went to the Philadelphia markets to purchase food products to fill the
orders and delivered orders to my customers. Did all the office work for the business as well as all
money transactions.
Specialty Seafood – May 1994 to September 2005
Route Sales/Buyer Assistant – My duties as a Route Sales /Buyer Assistant included contacting my
customer base by telephone or in person to acquire their orders for that week, finding out their
needs if they were planning any specials for any occasion such as holidays or special occasions, or
letting them know what new or different items I saw at the market when I was there assisting in
purchasing the seafood. I was in charge of quality control of fresh seafood prior to order filling,
making sure all my customers were current with their billing and payments owed and growing the
route by acquiring new customers through cold call sales. I developed the Pocono region route by
cold calling on restaurants and super markets in the Pocono area. I also delivered the product to
my customers as well as helped in the processing area filling the orders for not only my deliveries
but for all routes for that day.
