GRADING RUBRIC FOR PRESENTATION

Organization
Ideas are not be focused or
developed. Main points are not
identifiable. Transitions are
needed. Audience cannot
understand presentation because
there is no sequence of
information.
Ideas are partially focused and
developed. Main points are present
but difficult to identify. Audience
understands some parts of
presentation but does not
understand how ideas fit together.
Main idea is evident, but the
organizational structure many need
to be strengthened. Ideas may not
clearly developed or always flow
smoothly. Transitions may be
awkward. Audience understands
the presentation but the sequence of
information is unclear.
Presenter does not have grasp of
information; student cannot
answer questions about the
subject. Inaccurate, generalized, or
inappropriate supporting material
may be used. Over dependence on
notes may be observed and may
distract from presentation.
Presenter has a partial grasp of the
information. No supporting
material is used to aid in the
presentation of information.

demonstrates adequate knowledge
by answering class questions with
slight elaboration. Speaking

reference only.
Presenter has a clear grasp of
information. Supporting material
is original, logical and relevant.
Student demonstrates full
knowledge (more than required)
by answering all class questions
with explanations and
elaboration. Speaking outline or

Multimedia/Visuals/Additional Materials
Presenter uses relevant
multimedia/visuals/additional
materials but does not make a clear
connection between them and the
text/presentation.
Presenter uses
multimedia/visuals/additional
materials to explain and
reinforce the text and

improve upon the deliverability
of the presentation.
