Dhaka Red Crescent Blood Centre, Dhaka
On the occasion of World Blood Donor Day Bangladesh Red Crescent Society with
collaboration of IFRC has organized different programs all over the country. Dhaka Red
Crescent Blood Centre also celebrated and organized programs like colorful Rally decorated
with placard, banner and festoon at morning, Discussion meeting and award distribution
ceremony at afternoon.
1.The Rally was started in front of Dhaka Red crescent blood Centre at 8:30am in the
morning bearing colourful placard, festoon and banner. The Rally went past Residential
college, Shaheed Suhrawardy medical college, NICVD and Shishu Mela, shamoli and
returned to Blood centre. Hon'ble State Minister of LGRD and Co-operatives Advocate
Jahangir Kabir Nanak, MP inaugurated the Rally by launching balloon in the air and lead
the rally. He also addressed the gathering of the Rally regarding Voluntary Blood Donation.
Managing Board Member of BDRCS Alhaj Md. Abul Basar, Mr. Kabir Uddin Ahmed,
Secretary General of BDRCS BMM Mozharul Huq, Director,Blood Program Dr. Mohsin
Uddin Ahmed, Deputy Director Blood Program, Mrs Kamrul Laila jolly, Deputy Director
and In-charge, Dhaka Red Crescent Blood centre, Dr. Md. Tarique Mehedi (Parvez) were
present and lead the Rally. Many donors, organizations, RCY were present in the rally.
After the Rally breakfast packets were distributed among the participants.
2. The Discussion meeting and award distribution started at 4:00pm in the afternoon at the
auditorium of Holy Family Red Crescent Medical College, 1 Eskaton Garden, Maghbazar,
Dhaka. Hon'ble Chairman Prof. Dr. M S Akbar, MP presided over the meeting, Hon'ble
Minister of Information Mr. Hasanul Haq Inu, MP was the chief Guest, acting HoD of IFRC
Mr. Sajid Menon was also present on the stage. Welcome address was given by Secretary
General, BMM Mozharul Huq ndc, vote of thanks was given by Treasurer of BDRCS
Advocate Tauhidur Rahman. Donors, organizations and organizers were honored with awards
and certificates. 60 (sixty) crests and certificates were distributed among the donors,
organizers and organizations. After the meeting dinner boxes were given to the audience,
donors, organizers and representatives of organizations.
Fatema Begum Red Crescent Blood Centre, Chittagong:
14th June World Blood donor day. With the slogan of “Give the gift of life, Donate blood”
Fatema Begum Red Crescent Blood Centre, Ctg. of Bangladesh Red Crescent Society
arranged a blood donation awareness rally which started at 3.15 p.m was lead by Dr. Sheik
Sheikh Shafiul Azam chairman of Chittagoag Red Crescent unit & also honorable guests
from various organizations. It started from the compound of the centre & rounded the main
roads of the city.
The main program started at 3.45 p.m in the compound after recitation of holy Quran &
prayer was presented by Setu saha and there was a discussion on the significance of World
Blood Donor Day. It was chaired by unit vice-chairman Dr. S K Shafiul Azam and chief
guest was Mr. Somnath Ghosh, assistant high commissioner of Indian Embassy, special guest
were secretary of executive committee, chittagong unit Mr. Ahmed Newaz.
Then in the program three organizations were give honorary crest, (1) Govt. City College for
282 bags (2) Govt. Hazi Md. Mohsin College for 109 bags (3) Asian University for women
for 53 bags of blood donation. Three organizers were also awarded & 10, 20, 30, 40th times
blood donors were also given award . They also awarded former in-charge Dr. M. A. Jalil
Chowdhury for his achievement, who had worked to the blood centre since its establishment.
Along all of this Fatema Begum Red Crescent Blood centre organized a blood donation
program in the centre to celebrate World Blood Donor Day where they collected 41bags of
blood.
Mujib Jahan Red Crescent Blood Centre, Sylhet.
On the occasion of world blood donor day, Sylhet Mujib Jahan Red Crescent Blood Centre
has organized different programs like discussion meeting, blood donation and distribution of
prize among the donors.
Blood donate program.
On the occasion of world blood donor day, Sylhet Mujib Jahan Red Crescent Blood centre
has organized blood donate program at 10.00 a m. Convener, Md. Mansuzzam chowdhury
was present in the meeting. 15 persons donated blood on the occasion.
Discussion meeting:
The discussion meeting and award distribution started at 10.30 a.m in the auditorium of
Sylhet Red Crescent Hospital, vice-chairman, presided over the meeting. After the meeting
crests were distributed among the different donor organizations.
Best organization:
1) Shavron Bangladesh, Bibiana gas plant.
2) Shavron Bangladesh, Jalalabad gas plant.
3) Shamilit Natya parishad, Sylhet.
4) Imam training academy, sylhet.
5) Karimullah market merchant welfare samity, Sylhet.
Best organizer:
Ragat kanti gupta, general secretary, shamilit natya parisad, Sylhet.
After the meeting, the president thanked audience, donors, organizers and launch giver to the
audience.
Natore Red Crescent Blood Centre, Natore.
On the occasion of world blood donor day, Natore Red Crescent Blood Centre also celebrated
and organized programs in a befitting manners.
The rally was started in front of Red Crescent blood centre at 9.00 a.m in the morning bearing
colorful placard, festoon and banner. The rally went past different areas of the town and
attended by officials of Red Crescent blood centre and dig nations of the town.
The discussion meeting started at 9.30 a.m Mrs. Shammi Akther, Admin. Officer presided
over the meeting. Alhaj Md. Shafiqul Islam Ramjan was the chief guest. Md. Mahmud hosan,
Unit Officer delivered inaugural speech.
Blood donate program was started at 10.00a.m to 12.00p.m at Red Crescent Blood centre in
which 11 persons donated blood.
Prize distribution ceremony was started at 12.30p.m and awarded prize to the highest donors.
After the meeting the launch were distributed among the audience.
Achia Khatun Memorial Red Crescent Blood Centre, Magura:
Rally:
On the occasion of world blood donor day, 14th June. 2013 Achia Khatun Memorial Red
Crescent Blood centre, Magura has organized rally at 9.30a.m in the morning bearing colorful
placards, festoon and banner. The rally was attended by Zilla parishad administrator, Magura,
members of the Magura Red Crescent unit and different social organizations.
Discussion Meeting:
After the rally the discussion meeting held in the auditorium of zilla parishad, Advocate Ali
Akhter, member secretary presided over the meeting. Advocate Syed Shariful Islam,
administrator, Zilla parishad, Magura, chief guest delivered his speech.
Blood Donate Program:
On the occasion of world blood donor day, Magura college of engineering and technology
premises has organized blood donate program on 14th June 2013. Professor Md. Elius
Hossain, Principal, Govt. Hosain shahid college, Magura inaugurated the program. 27 bags of
blood were collected on the occasion.
Rajshahi Red Crescent Blood Centre, Rajshahi.
I would like to inform you that due to Rajshahi city corporation election held on 15th June.
14th June meeting, seminars banned. As a result Rajshahi Red Crescent Blood centre
observed the day on 18th June at 10.00a.m at Barendha University which was inaugurated by
vice-chancellor professor Osman Gani Talukder in a befitting manners. People from all walks
of like attended the rally.
The discussion meeting was held in a Chinese restaurant and presided over by Rejaul Karim
Raju, executive member of Rajshahi city unit.
After the meeting 28 bags of blood were collected and the donors were awarded certificates.
