Estimated confidence intervals of injury/fatality rate Applied statistical test to compare injury/fatality rate between onshore transmission pipelines and onshore gathering pipelines Contaminant identification in water distribution networks Implemented a Bayesian Markov Chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) algorithm for contaminant source characterization in water distribution systems under stochastic water demands. Proposed an adaptive water quality sampling method for detecting contaminant source in urban water distribution systems. Investigated the coupled Markov Chain Monte Carlo-Support Vector Regression (MCMC-SVR) method to identify contaminant sources in water distribution systems. Extended the MCMC algorithm to solve inverse problems in groundwater utilizing parallel computing. Cycle analysis of precipitation/streamflow data Applied singular spectrum analysis for annual precipitation/streamflow data Analyzed the percentage of variance that could be explained by climate indices. Improved precipitation/streamflow forecasting Examined the value of seasonal streamflow forecasts in water resources management 2 Curriculum Vitae Proposed a probabilistic reservoir management approach for meeting ecological releases and hydropower generation utilizing mixed integer linear programming. Developed and evaluated a methodology for seamless integration of weather and climate information in improving 15-day ahead precipitation and streamflow forecasts over the continental US. Proposed a Bayesian approach to provide probabilistic streamflow forecasts incorporating gridded precipitation from climate models.
