A2 Psychology Assessment Schedule 13C/ps1 Week A will be Timed essays and week B will be Research essays Types of Assessment Task you will be set: Timed Essays – these are past exam questions which you will complete in exam conditions so that we can assess three things: 1) Your understanding of the topic you have recently been set. 2) Your ability to construct an essay under time pressure. 3) The balance of AO1, AO2 and AO3 material needed for a top answer. Research Essays – these are past exam questions which you will complete for home learning and these are designed to help you learn and understand the material for a topic, so you cannot achieve a top grade by copying chunks from textbooks (this is such a waste of time that you will be asked to repeat the task.) Planning Tasks – these will be essay plans done in class in pairs and assessed by fellow students. Your teacher will give you feedback on each essay on a special sheet with targets showing you how to improve next time. You should copy those targets into the column below to help you identify any patterns that may develop.
