Job Description
Answer telephone, front desk relief, filing, data entry,
general office work.
Processes and prepares prescriptions to dispense to
patients stocking collating, handling prescriptions to
patients at window, and other duties as assigned.
Review medication orders for appropriateness,
processed medication orders for dispensing to
patients, assisting pharmacist in preparing medication
to dispense to patients, stocking, and other duties as
assigned.
Stocking and procurement activities, unit dose
preparation, filling patient medication drawers from
unit dose cart, Iv & unit dose orders, preparing and
delivering IVs for patient use, processing new orders
from stat counter.
Works with pharmacist and technician to prepare and
deliver IV and oval medications to hospital patients.
May involve working in intensive care.
Works with pharmacist and technician to prepare and
dispense prescriptions for patients discharged from
the hospital and clinics and hospital employees.
Involve in computer entry.
Responsibilities include reagent preparation, lab
glassware washing, maintaining laboratory supplies,
culture media preparation, general lab organization,
and assist researchers in the lab for various
experiments. Student could have chance to learn
molecular biological techniques.
Assist physical therapy students in 511ANAT - Gross
Anatomy (with dissection and instruction), 523PT Physical Evaluation Procedures in lab and 526PT Kinesiology and Pathkinesiology I and organization of
physical therapy lab. Student must have taken the

This work-study position provides research support
for a study of physical activity and nutrition for
families with young children while learning applied
basic research principles.

housekeeping , as well as other necessary duties per
assigned by SASS staff.
