REVIEWED BY: APPROVED BY: Step Description 1 Put on Personal Protective Equipment. 2 Gather cart supplies: broom, dust pan, mop, mop bucket with wringer, floor cleaning solution (at correct dilution) Fill mop bucket with appropriate floor cleaner. 3 Hazard Controls Personal Protective Equipment includes: Safety goggles or glasses (for dispensing chemicals), latex/vinyl gloves, and non-slip shoes. Chemical irritant, splash, slip, fall; Improper lifting, stretching or leaning. Personal Protective Equipment should include safety glasses/goggles, (required for dispensing chemicals) latex/vinyl gloves, non-slip shoes. Ergonomic controls: Good body mechanics and safe lifting practices. Chemical irritant, splash, slip/fall. Improper stretching or leaning. Ergonomic Controls: Good body mechanics. 7 Spray disinfectant on washers, dryers and sinks. Leave on the surfaces the recommended dwell time (see container label).
