Unit 1: Who Am 1? - A Self Reflection & Assessment The “Who Am I?” unit assessment is a self-reflection PowerPoint presentation that you will develop. The goal of the assignment (“Hello My Name Is.”) is to develop and present a creative, self-reflective PowerPoint that highlights your positive attributes, skills, talents and interests. Refer back to the assignments we completed during the unit (Ex. Family Tree, Know Yourself, and Do What You Are) to reflect and articulate how you perceive yourself. This will also give your fellow students, teachers and counselors a better understanding of how you view yourself. Below is a guide to follow as you create you presentation. You can have more than (15) slides. 1. Slide 1 – 2 - Introduce yourself (name) and where you live. (Generally speaking) 2. Slides 3 – 4 – Express what others say about you. Use your resources: Google your name - what do you find? List these things on a slide. o If you do not find anything, project out what will Google say about you in 5-10 years? Refer to your Family Tree assignment for family history and any potential input relating to you. Refer to Bridges surveys: Interest Profiler, Works Survey, DWYA/Myers-Briggs What do your friends, teachers, employers, coaches, etc. say about you? Go ahead, ask them! 3. Slides 5- 11 – Share your personal attributes NOT found on Google or other resources. What are positive traits that are not found in the resources listed above? What are your passions (a strong or extravagant fondness, enthusiasm, or desire for anything: a passion for music?) What are your future personal dreams or goals? What are your future professional dreams or goals? In what ways are your dreams a good fit for you (refer to Myers-Briggs if necessary)? What are your talents and/or skills (i.e. dancer, woodworker, football, welder) 4. Slides 12 & 13 - Based on prior experiences, identify the things you know you do want to do again?
