INTERNATIONAL STUDENT ORIENTATION

Actual schedule is subject to change.
Parents and Families – Please Note!
Students should plan on moving into the Residence Hall on August 16 th. There are
activities for family members on Sunday and Monday including dinner on Sunday and
lunch on Monday. Family good-byes take place on Monday, August 17th at 5PM.
Student will have special student activities all day on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday
and Thursday. On Thursday, they will continue with Week One, an orientation for the
entire first year class.

This is an informal dinner that will allow you to relax and meet other newly
arrived students and their families.

10:00pm – 12:00am Games in the Grind – The Grind, Higgins University Center
Mingle with fellow new students and Peer Advisors while enjoying delicious
snacks, music and games!

This program is intended to provide students with information on how the
United States views issues of sexual misconduct, relationship abuse, and
stalking. The topic of consent and examples of each of these issues will be
presented. Presented by the Clark Anti-Violence Education (CAVE) program.

What cultural expectations, bias, and stereotypes do we face? This
interactive session is designed to ask: what does it mean to coexist all
together in Clark?

Transitioning to a new country/culture can be exciting, scary and fun. This
discussion will focus on the cultural adjustment process that most
international students experience
