CF Social Worker mentoring program has been developed by the Cystic Fibrosis
Foundation to provide resources and information for social workers who are still
relatively new working with patients and families coping with chronic illness.
8/01 - Present Medical Social Worker/ Clinical Instructor of Pediatrics,
Albany Medical Centers Pediatric/Adult Cystic Fibrosis Programs
Responsibilities include providing individual, group counseling and education, to
children, adults and their families who are struggling with chronic life
threatening illness in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Facilitate educational
presentations to medical students and residents attending Albany Medical
College.
10/04-Present Smoking Cessation Group Facilitator
Seton Health Center for Smoking Cessation
Facilitate psycho-educational smoking cessation support groups to community
participants. Provide participants with the education, tools, and education to quit
smoking in a support group setting.
