CORE COMPETENCIES

Operating room skills which are a bonus for working as an intensivist like – clinical assessment of
the patient, fairly good airway skills, appreciable knowledge of anaesthetic advances like LMA,
ILMA, Light Wand, Fibre optic bronchoscope as well as drugs routinely used in O.T. and ICU

Exposure to various critical care procedures like landmark and Ultrasound guided peripheral and
central vein cannulation (subclavian, IJV, EJV, femoral, PICC), assisted Percutaneous
tracheotomy, Ryle’s tube insertion, Inter costal drain insertions, difficult airway, etc.

Vast exposure to handling various types of medical emergencies from the initial resuscitation to
their management in the ICU including use of PPV, SVV, IVC guided resuscitation, Severe ARDS
and Refractory Hypoxemia, prone ventilation etc.

Exposure to various modes of ventilation in ICU like CMV, IPPV, PCV, BIPAP, CPAP, ASSIST Control,
NIV, HFOV, ECMO etc.

Knowledge of handling and use of various ICU equipments including monitors, infusion pumps,
nebulisers, central catheters, defibrillators, advanced hemodynamic monitoring equipments like
Vigeolo flotrac, volume view etc.


Presently working as a registrar after completing two years tenure (completed in Feb. 2015)
of Fellowship of National Board (F.N.B.) Critical Care, at Department Of Critical Care,
Indraprastha Apollo Hospital, Delhi completed in Feb. 2015

Worked as Medical Officer w.e.f. July 2009 in Department of Anaesthesia and critical care at
E.S.I. Hospital, Rohini Sector 15, Delhi which has a state of the art Dental college attached to it.
Resigned In February 2013 to join F.N.B. Critical Care at Apollo Hospital, Delhi.


Done D.N.B. (Anaesthesiology) from The National Board of Examinations, New Delhi, India, in Nov
2009 in first attempt.

Done M.D. (Anaesthesiology) from Jodhpur, Rajasthan through All India PG entrance from June
2006 to June 2009.

Participated actively in various national and state conferences and presented papers during Post
Graduation.

RAJISACON 2007 at Bikaner : Presented a paper on “The Addition of Intrathecal Sufentanil as an adjuvant to
Hyperbaric Bupivacaine”.

ISACON 2008 at Vishakhapatnam : Presented a paper on the comparison of intra operative use of N/2 NS
containing dextrose with Isolyte P in paediatric patients on the incidence of
hyponatremia and Hypoglycaemia.


ISACON 2009 at Jodhpur : Presented a paper on “Maintenance of Maternal Hemodynamics during Spinal
Anaesthesia for Elective Caesarean Section” (A Comparison among Infusion of
Phenylephrine, Ephedrine or Combination of Both) in KOPPS Award paper
Category.

Participated in National Quiz for Post Graduates and was the first runner up.

Worked as Medical Officer in Department of Medicine at ESI Hospital, Rohini, Delhi from 2001
to 2006.

Worked as Junior Resident Doctor in Department of Medicine at LNJP Hospital attached to
Maulana Azad Medical College, Delhi, India from Aug 1998 to Sept 1999.

Done Junior residency in Department of Psychiatry at AIIMS, Delhi,India and was attached to
the De Addiction Centre from Feb 1998 to June 1998.

