Project: Design a 3-Panel Brochure (Front and Back)
Project Overview: Fans love to find out as much information as possible about the bands they love! Give them what they
want! Create a brochure packed with information and pictures about how the band started, what is the background of the
members, concert dates, CD information like how to buy or how the theme of the CD was created.
Designing a Brochure:
 Small pamphlet
 Promotional material or product info
 Communicate a large amount of information in a small document
Instructions:
Outside Right Panel (Front Cover)
_____ You may use a BROCHURE TEMPLATE in publisher
_____ Added your own design elements to the template (inserting/changing shapes to enhance your document)
_____ A Title for the brochure (presenting the overall theme)
_____ Band’s Logo
_____ Look at brochures to enhance your design elements
_____ 1-2 Images that represent the theme of your brochure
Outside Middle Panel (Back Cover)
_____ Band’s contact information including address, city, state, zip code, phone number, fax number and website address
_____ 1-2 Images that represent the theme of your brochure
Outside Left Panel (Inside Cover)
_____ Information (with bullets, symbols, shapes to break up text and make more visual appealing)
_____ Provide readers with information about how the band got started, how you were discovered, and any additional
information you would like readers to know
_____ Shapes inserted must had enhanced design features (line color changed, weighted, 3-D, etc.)
_____ 3 images included (all images must be formatted using the picture toolbar)
_____ 1 Image should be altered in Photoshop (in the space below-identify the image and how you edited it in Photoshop)
Inside Left Panel
_____ Biography about each member of your band (1 paragraph)
_____ A photograph of each member (optional)
_____ 3 images or 3 shapes that enhance your document (all must have advanced formatting applied)
***If you only have one band member you must still make this page informative! Include special information, upcoming
news, etc. to fill the space!
Inside Middle and Right Panels (2 panels)
***the information for these 2 panels may be on the folded area
_____ A tour schedule with 10 cities where your band is performing (set up creatively: Date, Venue, City, State, Time)
_____ How to purchase tickets (use realistic information-so use Internet to research)
_____ 1-2 Images that match the theme of a tour schedule
_____ Advanced formatting features in Publisher

_____ Each page has an element from the Building Blocks Menu (Advertising, Borders and Designs, Calendars, Page Parts)
_____ No spelling/grammatical errors
_____ Brochure is set up properly
_____ No information (text, graphics, etc.) is on the folded areas of the brochure
_____ Use of bulleted lists, decorative borders, shaded areas, different fonts, and font sizes
_____ The brochure is creatively designed to keep readers interested (text and graphics appropriately balanced)
