DENGIE DRESSAGE QUALIFIERS AND GENERAL RULES





Horses and/or riders who qualify for both the Novice and Open Winter League Championships in
the same year must nominate which class they wish to compete in on the day they qualify so that the
qualification can be passed down the line.
Passing Down The Line - In the event of a competitor being placed in a qualifying position at a
Preliminary Round when they have already qualified for the Area Competition the place may pass
down the line.
Multiple Horses – In the event of a rider qualifying more than one horse for the Championships, they
may only take one horse to the Championships and must nominate which one they will take at the Area
Competition. The other qualifying place will be passed down the line.
Substitutions – Substitutions of horse/pony or rider will not be accepted at Area Competitions or at the
Championships.
Saddlery and Dress - The Pony Club saddlery and dress rules apply .

To be run under the Pony Club Dressage Rules. Please read all rules for Pony Club Dressage/Dengie
qualifiers in the current year’s Pony Club Dressage Rule Book or on the P C website www.pcuk.org . A
copy of the Rule Book will be held with the Secretary on the day of the competition.
All objections must be accompanied by £10.00, which will be returned if the objection is sustained.
Correct riding attire and hat (please see Hat Rules 2013) must be worn at all times when mounted and
will be checked.
The decision of the Judges is final.
No liability will be accepted by the Organisers for any loss, damage or accident sustained to
horses/ponies/riders/spectators or vehicles. The organisers of this Event have taken reasonable
precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective,
everyone must taken all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey
the instructions of the organiser and all the Officials and Stewards.
Ponies/horses must be 4 years and over.
No galloping anywhere on the showground, riders must only walk their horses/ponies in the car park.
No lunging.
In the event of cancellation, entry fees will be returned, less an administration fee of £3.00 per
competitor, to offset costs. All money will be returned only upon receipt of an S.A.E.

AWARDS - Rosettes 1st – 8th place in each class (6th if classes have entries of 10 or less competitors)

SECTIONS A & B – section A is for riders under 13 and section B for all other riders
CLOSING DATE - Closing date for entries is 12th February 2015 Late entries may be accepted if
space allows at an additional £2 per class.

Open to Pony Club Members & Non Pony Club Members. For
Horse and Rider combinations who may have competed in BD
but have no BD points.
The Paul Tipper Memorial Trophy to be awarded to the
highest placed OBH North member who is placed in the first 6.
Class 2
Open to Pony Club Members & Non Pony Club Members.
Rider/Horse or Pony combination not to have competed at
Area Novice or above in Dressage, or to have been placed 1st
to 3rd in any Preliminary or PC Introductory level dressage
competition; or to be competing at BD.
BD Novice 39 (Long Arena)
Open to Pony Club Members & Non Pony Club Members. For
Horse and Rider combinations who may have gained points at
elementary level but not higher.
Mini Dressage Challenge Cup to be awarded to the highest
placed OBH North member who is placed in the first six.
Class 6
Dengie Novice Winter League Qualifier - The Pony Club
Novice Dressage Test 2009
Open to individual Pony Club Members, but excluding any
combination of horse/pony and rider that have represented
their Branch at Open or Intermediate Area Qualifiers at the
Pony Club Dressage Championships, or any Rider who has
competed at The Pony Club Open or Intermediate Dressage
Championships. (This does not include any other classes
held in conjunction with Area Qualifiers.) Riders must not
have won any BD (or DI) points or competed at BD (or DI) at
Elementary level or above.
Horses may be graded British Dressage Novice or below.
This includes Hors Concours entries.

Class 4
Dengie Open Winter League Qualifier - The Pony Club
Intermediate Dressage Test 2013
Open Pony Club Members only.
Horses and / or riders who have competed at Advanced
Medium level or above during the current year are not
eligible.
Pony Club Introductory Test 2007
Open to Pony Club Members & Non Pony Club Members.
Rider/Horse or Pony combination not to have competed at Pony
Club Area or above in Dressage, or to have been placed 1st to
3rd in any dressage competition at Novice level or above, or to
be competing at BD.
The Senior Dressage Challenge Plate to be awarded to the
highest placed OBH North member who is placed in the first six.
Class 3
Pony Club D Level Dressage Test - Walk & Trot Test
The Junior Dressage Challenge Cup to be awarded to the
highest placed OBH North member who is placed in the first
six
Class 7
Prix Caprilli test 11 (2012)
Open to Pony Club Members and non Pony Club members.
For Horse and rider not to have competed at Novice Level or
above.
