Report on a major event with accurate historical facts that describe the event. 2. Include at least two to three famous people (a politician, a scientist, inventor, artist, a musician or a philosopher who are connected to the event or invention. 3. Include a representation of a change in culture from Medieval times such as a particular artwork or piece of music. Project 2: Entertainment Reporter Believe you are a reporter for television and create a presentation about “What’s On” in the Arts world during the Renaissance period as if you were reporting during the times. 1. Report on the musical events of the day. 2. Include at least four famous people in the arts during the Renaissance period - a painter, a musician, a composer or an author. 3. You must include the influences of each artist, a description of their work and their contribution to Renaissance Art / Music / Literature. Project 3: Powerpoint/Keynote Presentation Create a presentation using Powerpoint or Keynote about the Renaissance period. 1. Your presentation should cover some historical background including dates, definition of the term “Renaissance,” what was going on in Science, Music, Art and Literature. . 2. Your presentation should include five famous people from science, music, art and literature. Include some examples of their work. 3. If you use music to accompany your presentation, it must be by a composer from the Renaissance period. 4. If you use examples of art – it must also be from the Renaissance period. Project 4: Playwright In a group of 2-4 write a short script for a short play on an important historical event or invention that occurred in the Renaissance. It should include: 1.
