Mountain Brook Baptist Church – Birmingham, AL – Minister:
Responsibilities include planning of worship services, preaching for both traditional and contemporary
worship. Leadership of pastoral care, weekly Bible study, and missions both locally and abroad. Other
duties include: church budget, stewardship campaign, hiring and supervision of staff, church-wide prayer
and outreach emphases, prospect outreach, weddings and funerals. 2001 – 2006. Membership 1000+
Murray Hill Baptist Church – Jacksonville, FL – Pastor:
Responsibilities include planning and leading in worship and mid-week Bible studies. Pastoral ministries
included weddings, funerals, counseling, and hospital/nursing home visitation. Led in hiring of Minister of
Music, Minister of Education, Minister to Students, and Director of Preschool and Children’s
Activities/Day Care Director. Led in renovation of church plant, consulted in purchase of additional church
properties, instigated budget restructuring to aid in responsible stewardship, led in church by-laws review
and revision. Supervised twenty-five ministerial and support staff. Presided over Church Council and
Personnel Committees, directed Sunday School in development of outreach ministry, and began a
greeting ministry, led in church involvement with Habitat for Humanity, coordination with area churches in
providing community-wide services. (Followed pastor who served for 20 years) 1995-2001. Membership

First Baptist Church – Augusta, GA – Minister of Youth:
Responsible for development and administration of all youth related ministries including Sunday School,
Discipleship Training, Bible studies, mission trips, Vacation Bible Schools, Youth Weeks, and Youth
Camps. Published weekly newsletter provided individual and family counseling. Worked with multi-staff
sharing responsibilities in hospital, nursing home, and prospect visitation; assisted in preaching, teaching,
