Fellow Penn State Student,
Thank you for your interest in the Penn State Harrisburg Lion Ambassadors, the Penn State Student
Alumni Corps. Each year we look to recruit the finest members into the ranks of our club at Penn State
Harrisburg. We look for new members who share our belief in the legacy of Penn State, and those who wish
to dedicate themselves to serving the University. This organization is without a doubt one that requires hard
work and dedication from the start, and we look hard for those qualities in any prospective member.
The Lion Ambassadors on our campus is a dynamic and diverse group that is constantly working
together to better our club and our events. The memories that are shared between Ambassadors are ones that
will last a lifetime. One common thought of the Lion Ambassadors is that the relationship we establish with
the campus and the university will be a lifelong commitment that extends far beyond graduation.
It is no secret that Penn State has the largest dues paying Alumni Association in the world so being a
Lion Ambassador gives you the benefit of learning to work with and make connections to Alumni before
graduating. Members work throughout the entire year to fulfill the Lion Ambassador mission to instill pride
among the student body and promote the University to all past, present and future Penn Staters. Our campus
assists the Alumni Society as well as the Admissions Office and numerous other clubs by coordinating
numerous events and activities, taking an active hand in philanthropy, representing the Harrisburg campus
not only to our community but to the entire Penn State system, and finally by guiding prospective students on
tours for the Admissions Office and other University guests.
Our members have the highest amount of respect for themselves and their peers, and all work
together to fulfill the Lion Ambassadors creed of: Pride, Loyalty, Spirit, and Enthusiasm. On behalf of our
club I would like to wish you the best of luck with the application process, and we look forward to

The purpose of Lion Ambassadors is to serve The Pennsylvania State University with excellence
by:
 Communicating its history and strengthening its traditions, and instilling Penn State pride
in current and future students, alumni, and friends.
 To instill within students the idea that their involvement with the University can and
should be a lifelong commitment. To aid, assist, and promote the Penn State Alumni
Association
 Lion Ambassadors are actively engaged in community programming and support

member of the organization and maintain at least a 2.5 GPA. I understand that if at any point in the application process
any information is found to be false, I will be removed from consideration. Finally, I agree that I will make Lion
Ambassadors a priority.
