Registration:
1. Begins Tuesday April 13, 2015 online:

2. Online Registration Deadline:
a. For Co-operative Education Courses – Friday May 22, 2015 at 4:00 p.m.
b. For Grade 7 and 8 programs, Secondary full-credit courses and all e-learning
courses - Friday June 19, 2015 at 4:00 p.m.
c. For recovery, remedial, upgrade, and transfer courses – Friday June 26, 2015 at
4:00 p.m.
3. Late registration for most courses* will be available by completing a registration form
available at current school and sending by e-mail to summerschool@pvnccdsb.on.ca, or
mail to PVNC Catholic District School Board, Catholic Education Centre, 1355 Lansdowne
St. W., Peterborough, ON. K9J 7M3, ATTN: Summer School, or Fax to 705-748-5187,
ATTN: Summer School.
*Late registration will not be available for Co-operative Education courses or closed
(full) courses.
4. E-mail confirmation of course offering and enrolment will be sent by Tuesday May 26,
2015 for Co-operative Education course, by Tuesday June 23 , 2015 for Grade 7 and 8
programs, Secondary full credit courses, and e-learning courses, and by Tuesday June
30 , 2015 for credit recovery, remediation, upgrade, and transfer courses.
5. To register, complete and submit the online form. You must also print the completed
registration form for a parent/guardian signature. Bring this signed form with you on
your first day of class to complete your registration.

Documentation:
If you are not a student of the Peterborough Victoria Northumberland Clarington Catholic
District School Board, please include a transcript or a credit summary sheet, a current
report card, and a copy of your Individual Education Plan (if applicable) with your
registration form.

Course Availability
Course availability will be determined by enrolment. All attempts will be made to offer a
course for which there is sufficient demand. You will be notified of any cancelled courses by email, according to the dates listed above (point #4, under Registration).
Students are permitted to register for a total of TWO FULL-CREDIT COURSES. This total can be
accumulated in several ways:





Students may register for one full-credit face-to-face course AND one full-credit elearning course,
Students may register for two full-credit e-learning courses,
Students may register for the two-credit Co-operative Education course
Students may register for the 0.5 Career Education e-learning Course, the 0.5 Civics
e-learning course, AND another full-credit course (face-to-face or e-learning)
Other options equaling a total of 2.0 credits.
**Please note - students cannot register for two full-credit face-to-face credits.
Dates:
Full-Credit Courses – Monday July 6* – Friday July 31, 2015
*2-credit Co-operative Education begins Monday June 29, 2015 (three night school sessions take place
before this date, in June 2015)
Credit Recovery/Remediation/Transfer/Upgrade Courses will be offered in either Session 1 or
Session 2 (see site offerings on following pages for specified sessions).
Session 1: Monday July 6 – Friday July 17, 2015
Session 2: Monday July 20 – Friday July 31, 2015
Times for all Courses:
Monday-Friday, 8:15 a.m. – 2:15 p.m.*
*2-credit Co-operative Education times are 8:00 a.m. – 4:50 p.m.
Course Offerings/Codes
Please refer to site-specific course listings on following pages.
Full Course Codes have 5 digits (ex. ENG3C).
2-week Math Transfer Course Code has an “H” as its fifth digit (MPM1H).
Credit Recovery, Remediation, and Upgrading Course Codes have a sixth digit: “R” (ex. ENG3CR)
E-Learning Course Codes have a sixth digit: “V” (ex. ENG3CV). French Immersion e-learning
credits have “F” instead of “V” as the sixth digit.

Students will contacted by the Summer School Co-op teacher by June 1, 2015. Students will
begin pre-placement assignments in Night School as early as June 8, 2015. .
*2-Credit Co-op runs June 29 – July 31, 2015 (begins one week earlier than regular Summer
School), 8:00 a.m. – 4:50 p.m. (extra 3 hours daily).
