National Center for Women & Information Technology (NCWIT): Award for Aspirations in
Computing; Win up to $500, a laptop, and a trip to Charlotte, NC to attend winner’s
ceremony. Application period is September 15 through October 31 only! For high school girls
grades 9 – 12 and U.S. residents; demonstrated and outstanding aptitude and interest in
IT/computing and demonstrated leadership abilities.
SunTrust Off to College Scholarship Sweepstakes: $1000; free to enter, not based on GPA or

weeks from Oct. 25 through May 9.

Auburn University: Freshman Scholarship priority deadline is December 1. Minimum for
Presidential – 33 ACT; 1440 SAT ($64,000)and 3.5 GPA; Heritage – 31/32 ACT (1360-1430 SAT)
and 3.5 GPA; Charter – 29-30 ACT (1290 – 1350 SAT) and 3.5 GPA. Auburn Spirit Foundation
Scholarship – 26 ACT or 1170 SAT and 3.5 GPA (awarded competitively in January). Must be
accepted for admission for consideration of any of the above! Visit

The University of Alabama: Multiple scholarship opportunities. All admission materials must
be RECEIVED by December 15 for consideration, along with a completed UA scholarship
application! Scholarship applications available for students to complete online through their
myBama accounts 24 – 48 hours after submitting an application for admission. Last test
dates accepted are the December ACT and SAT dates.
SCAD Scholarship Competition: Various deadlines, depending on genre. First upcoming

Georgia Southern Scholarships: Students interested in the largest scholarship, the 1906
Scholarship, must submit application by November 1, 2013 and must be accepted into the
college prior to this date! Essays required for all University Honors Program and 1906
Scholarships. Various deadlines, depending on the scholarship – November 1: Southern
Scholars Showcase (29 ACT or 1300 m + cr SAT); February 1 – Scholars’ Day (27 ACT or 1200 m
+ cr SAT); February 1 – LEAD Conference (strong leadership and 24 ACT or 1100 m + cr SAT)
