Openings for psycho-educational evaluations
Before decisions are made about where an adolescent will attend high school or
college, Square One can help gather the information needed to make an informed
decision. Psychological/psycho-educational evaluations can be scheduled in
September and October with a parents-only results-driven consultation two weeks
after the evaluation. Dr. Causey will provide test scores, analysis, and guidance for
parents uncertain about the next step in their child’s path in education.

Speech-Social Group Therapy: NEW Approach
Therapist Sherri Stover and Speech-Language Pathologist Ashley Redenbaugh,
M.S. C.C.C. are teaming up to offer a new blended social skills/speech therapy
group for preschool age children at Square One Specialists in Child and Adolescent
Development.
The team at Square One recognizes that early intervention in the form of speech
language evaluation and treatment and social skills therapy can create successful
patterns of behavior for children and their families. This approach is blended
therapy led by two professionals in response to the growing demand from parents
and teachers for innovative services to address the complex needs of young
children.
Ms. Redenbaugh and Ms. Stover also provide individual evaluations and therapy.

ROUNDTABLE DISCUSSION
WHY WAIT:
The impact of Early Intervention
on Child and Adolescent Development
NOVEMBER 3, 2011
6:00- 8:00 PM
(no cost to attend-light refreshments provided)
When parents approach you about a specific developmental concern
during a routine pediatric check-up or teacher conference how do you
respond? When do you refer parents to a specialist?
Should parents wait to see if their child grows out of it? Should they wait to just
see what happens? How early should their child be evaluated? What is normal?
“I was told I didn’t start talking until late - Is my child simply a late talker?”
The WHY WAIT? Roundtable is Square One’s response to questions from
parents and teachers as to when they should see a specialist for insight
into their child’s development through individualized comprehensive,
thoughtful evaluation and consultation.
Square One hosts Intern
Julia Housiaux, M.A., M.Ed., L.M.F.T.
