Pythagorean theorem of math with Kerpoof For Junior Middle School Optical 30 minutes This lesson plan is to help students learn Pythagorean Overview theorem and know how to proof. We will use Kerpoof to help student understand this theorem. Students can understand the relationship between the Objective angles and edges of a right triangle. [Cognitive objectives] Standards (1) Know and understand the Pythagorean Theorem and use it to find the length of the missing side of a right (Taiwan) triangle and the lengths of other line segments. Use direct measurements to test conjectures about triangles. Pencil Materials Ruler Computer Kerpoof website (1) Explain the Pythagorean theorem and show one of the proofs of this theorem. (2) Students use Kerpoof to draw right triangles, then draw squares on each edge . Procedure (3) The students will be asked to measure the areas of each square. (4) Analyze the patterns that the students have drew and make a conclusion: A2+B2=C2 C A B After being taught about the Pythagorean theorem, the students will be quizzed on what they have learned and Evaluation should have learned. They will know and understand the Pythagorean Theorem A2+B2=C2.
