REFUND AND LEARNER PROTECTION POLICY [RP-01] Overview This document details the policy and procedures for dealing with either: Individual learners/schools withdrawing from a course, or The need for CERES to cancel a course due to low enrolments or other circumstances Learner/School Withdrawal All applications for withdrawal and refund of course fees or cancellation of single Training sessions must be made in writing to the CERES Training Co-ordinator. All approved refunds will be issued within 30 days of approval. CERES will refund full course fees (less administration fee of 10%) should an individually enrolled student* or partnering school/organisation withdraw from the course before the course commences. CERES will refund full course fees (less administration fee of 10%) should an individually enrolled student* or partnering school or organisation withdraw from the course within three weeks of the course commencing. CERES agrees to refund all fees paid (less a 10% administration charge), if an individually enrolled student or partnering school or organisation is prevented from attending the course by reasons beyond their control. CERES requires 2 weeks written notice, should a partnering school or organisation need to cancel a single Training session. If notice is not received the cost of the cancelled training session shall be withheld. CERES has the right to demand payment of either late fees or fees not fully paid. CERES reserves the right to legally obtain the balance of any unpaid fees and any relevant costs associated with doing so. Student testamurs of qualification will not be issued until all fees have been paid in full. All participating schools or organisations are required to sign a Memorandum of Understanding prior to commencement of course. Document1 Cancellation of Course by CERES CERES is committed to ensuring that all enrolling students/schools receive the training and assessment services as agreed to in MOUs/Student Training Agreements. Commencement of all courses is dependent on enrolment numbers. If a course does not attract sufficient confirmed enrolments CERES may cancel the course providing students/schools with a minimum of 3 working days notice. All fees paid will be paid in full. If during the delivery of a course CERES needs to cancel the course for whatever reason CERES will endeavour to identify in consultation and agreement with individual students/schools alternate training options such as: (a) inviting another Training Provider to finish delivering the course on-site in lieu of CERES, or (b) transferring students to other suitable Training Providers. In these circumstances CERES will ensure that students/schools will not be required to pay any additional fees to those already agreed to and paid in advance to CERES. *Individually enrolled student is a student who has not enrolled via a partnering school or organisation program Document1
