What is the difference between a Lead Professional Organizer and an Assistant Organizer?
The Lead Professional Organizer’s main role is to:




Conduct the Initial Organizing Assessment
Develop a written step-by-step organizing plan
Execute the organizing plan with the client
Guide the organizing process in the home or office of the client, making revisions to the written plan where
necessary,
 Coordinate all supportive services and vendors (i.e. consignment, mover) where applicable,
 Supervise the work of the Professional Organizing Assistants during the organizing session.
 The Lead Organizer is capable of doing the following in the absence of the Assistant Organizer:
Sorting
Group items in like categories for customer to review
Clutter Removal
Containing all items leaving the customer’s home in appropriate containers or bags.
Carrying and placing unwanted items on curb or in bins for garbage
Donation Services
Correctly listing (and photographing if applicable) all items leaving the client’s home for donations; placing in
customers vehicle if items are of reasonable weight and size
OR
Delivering items for donation to the charitable location drop-off center.
Filling out tax slip with inventory list of items
Consignment Services
Delivering items to consignment company, following all required procedures
Setting up an account for customer with consignor
Any rejected items by the consignor will be taken to a donation site.
