EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE
Make recommendations concerning policy to the Board of Directors as a result of its careful review and
coordination of the work of the other committees and to act within the limits of its authority and when
circumstances warrant for the Board of Directors between Board meetings. Also, assume responsibilities
of reviewing By-Laws and establishing an annual budget.

ARBY’S GOLF TOURNAMENT COMMITTEE:
Will be responsible for the planning, development and implementation of the annual tournament in
cooperation with Arby’s and designated Event Marketing partner. Other duties include recruitment of golf
teams, obtaining auction items, promotion of tournament, recruit volunteers to assist with tournament and
target potential sponsors.

CAMP LAND COMMITTEE
Responsible for development of camp land and facilities. Make recommendations as to usage and
programming. Also, makes recommendations as to fund raising strategies for camp development. All
plans, policies and procedures recommended by this committee must be approved by the Board of
Directors

PROGRAM COMMITTEE
Study and make recommendations to the Board of Directors concerning the nature and scope of the
organizations program and service, to set goals for the growth of the organization, to establish methods of
evaluating the effectiveness of the various phases of the agency’s program, and to coordinate the work of
the staff, Big Brothers/Big Sisters and Board in a unified thrust to accomplish the aims of the organization.

HUMAN RESOURCE COMMITTEE
Establish sound personnel policies, benefits and practices that will attract and retain competent staff
personnel. Notification of vacant Executive Director position sent to BBBSA by chair of HR Committee.
All proceedings and policies must be approved by the Board of Directors.

Responsible for formulating policies and procedures for recruiting, orientations and selection of volunteer
applicants. Assure that maximum attention is given to the establishment of a sound public relations
program, both within the organization and in the community at large. The Committee should be especially
conscious of its responsibility to maximize the organizations total fund-raising and recruitment efforts. All
plans and procedures developed by this committee must be approved by the Board of Directors.

BUILDING AND GROUNDS COMMITTEE
Work with staff to develop a planned maintenance and building/grounds improvement program that will
allow us to make the Big Brother/Big Sister facility more efficient and functional. Plans will be presented
to the Board of Directors for approval.

NOMINATING COMMITTEE
The Nominating Committee shall define the types of representation needed on the Board of Directors and

BOWL FOR KIDS’ SAKE/FUNDRAISING COMMITTEE
Will be responsible for organizing and running the annual spring bowlathon. Will work with the local
bowling houses in setting dates, times and a prize package that will appeal to bowlers and non-bowlers.

The Committee will work closely with other Board Committees and Staff to insure involvement by radio,
television, newspapers, and other media outlets in getting publicity to the central Kentucky residents who
want to support Big Brothers/Big Sisters. Groups, organizations and companies will be contacted and
encouraged to get involved as a group and support this fun-filled day of bowling and helping the children in
central Kentucky.

Annually update our three-year plan after consulting with all other committees. To evaluate agency
performance according to goals approved in the three-year plan. To present plan and evaluation to the total
