Description and Guidelines:


1 grant of $40,000
Able to be spread over up to three years, with proportional allocation of time to be
negotiated according to individual needs.
 Funding available from December 2016
1. Applications are invited from Nurses for a clinical research training fellowship.
2. One award will be available annually of $40,000. This award of $40,000 will be
for a grant in partial salary support to be available over a period of up to three
years, for nurses wishing to undertake clinical based research.
3. It is expected that applicants may continue with some clinical duties. The service

5. Applicants who are or will be registered for a higher degree (e.g. Master of
Medical Science/PhD) at a Christchurch-based tertiary institute will be preferred.
6. The award is for salary only and does not provide any support for consumables.
There is an expectation that the Department(s) supporting the application will be
able to provide written evidence of a plan for the funding of any relevant
consumables.
7. Applicants must be NZ Citizens or NZ permanent residents.
8. A written report is required annually for the duration of the Fellowship.
