Abby will get signatures. By laws can be found on website To increase awareness to risks and losses, to ensure we keep our insurance coverage 1. Alcohol and drugs: a. During certain events sisters are allowed to have alcohol if they are over 21 and abide by certain regulations like ending drinking an hour before the event ends and having 2 designated non drinkers to drive b. No alcohol during rush recruitment, or while in letters c. Don’t purchase alcohol for minors d. No drugs allowed e. Basically make smart choices because you are an example for younger sisters and rushes 2. No hazing (even things like scavenger hunts are considered hazing) 3. Automobiles: when traveling for sorority, vehicles must be maintained, drives must obey laws of road, and sorority is not liable for destruction of automobile 4. Sexual harassment or misconduct- doesn’t condone If planning an event, committees must look into risk management, and file things in advance for off campus events or if alcohol is being served Sigma Alpha Risk Management can be found on website or googled Second VP o Recommended to have an MC assistant- if interested in becoming MC educator then contact Kelley to become her assistant o MC Meetings will be Tues or Wed but will be determined with MC's o It is recommended by nationals to have 1-3 actives present per MC meeting o MC retreat- week of March 9th either Tues or Wed- as many sisters as possible must go so mark your calendar Treasurer o Will email out a budget to each commitee, chair heads must respond to email o Rush shirts are in: $25, the square is not set up yet so checks or cash right now o Account balance- $3,257, minimum for bank is $2,000 o There is no income this semester because spring MC's are not paying dues. We voted this because they are not involved for a whole year but it costs 50 dollars per person that we are not getting back. We should have them pay 50 dollars so we have payment in advance for what we spend on them. Nationals say they are supposed to pay 25% of chapter dues so they know it’s a commitment. This is a nonrefundable balance to put towards what were putting in to them.
