Sir, The State Government has been participating in India International Trade Fair through its permanent pavilion at Pragati Maidan New Delhi. The 35 th edition of this annual mega event will be held from November, 14 to 27, 2015 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. “Make in India” is the theme for this year. A meeting to review the arrangements for IITF-2015 was held on 10.8.2015 under the Chairmanship of Principal Secretary (Industries) to the Government of H.P. in which inter-alia following was decided: To ensure the implementation of Handloom (Reservation of Articles for Production) Act, 1985 and sale of genuine Himachali Handloom products from Himachal Pavilion shops/ space would be allotted only to those handloom enterprises which are registered under Geographic Indicators Act or having “Handloom Mark” or “Wool Mark”. The following rates of rent for allotment of stalls/counters and display windows to private enterprises were approved for the year 2015-16:Sl. No. Category Rate 1. Stalls/ shops Rs. 350 per Sq. To allocate the display windows and counters by a Committee of the Department officers in view of suitability of space & theme of the fair. To obtain the demand draft of Rs. 1000/- with application for allotment of display window & counter as earnest money, which shall be adjusted in the rent in the event of allotment or refunded in the event of non allotment. In case the successful allottee of shop/ display window/ counter refuses to take the possession of allotted shop/ display window/ counter on any ground, the earnest money would be forfeited to Govt.
