New Requirements for 2015 SAR/Title II Report
New Requirements in 2015
There were no changes made to data requirements for the State Annual Report or Title II expectations between
the 2014 and 2015 years. The data elements outlined below were introduced in the 2014 reporting cycle and are
worth noting as relatively new features within the report.
New Requirements in 2014
The 2014 State Annual/Title II Report included new data fields that align with updated Title II reporting
requirements. In addition to the new Title II reporting requirements, coursework data is also being collected and
will be reported in each sponsoring organization’s public profile.
Below is a description of the new fields along with guidance for reporting this information.
Exit Requirements
In addition to the existing admissions entry requirements, we also collect data on exit requirements (completion
of program). Like the entry requirements, exit requirements are listed along with dropdown boxes allowing you
to select Yes, No, or N/A. Yes indicates the element is required for exit from the teacher preparation program,
while No indicates the element is not required for exit from the teacher preparation program. Choose N/A if you
do not offer those types of programs.
For purposes of reporting, the entry and exit requirements refer to elements required for entry into or exit from
the teacher preparation program, not the institution of higher education (IHE).
Example: An IHE requires a minimum high school GPA for entry into the IHE at the undergraduate level. The
traditional teacher preparation program, which is an undergraduate program within that IHE, does not
specifically require a minimum high school GPA. It does require a minimum GPA in content area coursework. The
correct way to report on these elements is “No” for “Minimum high school GPA” since it is not a specific
admissions requirement of the teacher preparation program, and “Yes” for “Minimum GPA in content area
coursework.”

Median GPA of Candidates at Completion (exit)

Reasons for Zero Completers

Large Changes in Number of Completers
If there was a substantial increase/decrease in the number of program completers in any of your programs,
provide a reason for the increase/decrease.
