Tuesday 2 to Saturday 6 December
Christmas Market, Bradford City Centre
Bradford Christmas Market has something for everyone. On sale will be hand crafted jewellery, handmade chocolates, hot
mulled wine, Yorkshire cheeses, jams, pickles and chutneys, handmade soaps and lots more.
Soak up the festive spirit, enjoy entertaining street theatre and find some great Christmas gifts!
You will find the market on Darley Street, Kirkgate, Bank Street and Tyrell Street

Day trip to Durham
Depart University 9.00am (opposite Sainsburys), back at the University approx. 7.30pm
‘Christmas Festival’ in Durham today: street entertainers, singers and dancers in many of the streets, Carol Singing
in the Cathedral, a Lantern Parade through the city, and a huge marquee with craft stalls on the Palace Green, by the
Cathedral and Castle.

Christmas Show
5pm Great Hall Richmond Building
Christmas Show featuring Infuzion Dance, music, singing and drama to give you a new take on the nativity story.
Doors open at 5pm with carols before the show starts at 5:30.
Mince pies and juice after the show.

Try a traditional British Christmas Dinner – turkey and all the trimmings.

Experience the glitz and glamour of the North’s most elegant shopping centre – it will be decorated very lavishly for
Christmas and is wonderful to see, even if you just want to do some ‘window shopping’. Pre-Christmas discounts in
many stores.

Are you an international student? Will you be in Bradford during the Christmas break? Would you like to be invited
by a local family for a nice meal during your Christmas holidays? Then don't miss the Christmas event at Global Cafe
the 12th of December at 8pm.
Every year Global Café arranges an event for international students to meet some local families, so each family will
invite 2 or 3 students for a meal at their homes during the Christmas break. This year, the “Christmas hospitality
event” will take place at Global Café on the 12th of December from 8pm to 10pm – come along, so that you can
meet the families and the arrangements can be made for your visit to them.

Join Santa and the carol singers, as they parade down the Main Street in Haworth. Very festive and unique event,
plus see the picturesque village of Haworth twinkling with Christmas lights and decorations.

University has organised an audience with John Amaechi aimed at University of Bradford students and young people
from Bradford Schools. John will deliver a motivational lecture to encourage all to reach their highest potential and
inspire to follow the path of contributing to the equality agenda.

City Carol concert at Bradford Cathedral
Join people from across the city in this annual carol concert in the beautiful setting of Bradford Cathedral.
Meet at the entrance to Richmond Building at 5.00pm, to walk to the Cathedral or take the free city bus, if you are
not sure how to get there.
Concert starts at 6.00pm, but we need to get there early to be sure of getting a seat at this very popular event.

Pantomine at the Alhambra Theatre
A chance to experience a uniquely British tradition in Bradford’s beautiful Alhambra theatre, just minutes from the
University.
This year the performance is based on the story of ‘Snow White and the Seven Dwarves’ and is guaranteed to have
