John R. Allen, a son of Henry and Catherine Allen, was born in
Culpepper, VA about 1792 and died in Braxton County WV May 12, 1873.
He married Abigail Waybright in Pendleton County VA October 2, 1833.
Abigail was born in VA about 1815 and died in Braxton county in 1882.
The family was living in Roane County VA (WV) in 1848 and in
Gilmer Country VA (WV) in 1850. They moved to Braxton County VA (WV)
in 1854 and lived out their lives there.
