PLATO’S E-DESIGN COMPENTENCY BASED CREDITS (CBC) Engaging graphics and Competency Based Credit (CBC) is a program focused on credit recovery or credit animation accrual for students who attend a high school within Bartholomew Consolidated Social learning tools to effect student-teacher School Corporation. The program offers a wide range of academic core classes interaction that is delivered by way of a computer based educational software program, the Assessment tied to rigorous curriculum Plato Learning Environment (PLE). The assignments that the student must complete are aligned to the Indiana State Standards for the particular class that Personalized learning to promote motivation, engagement, and the student is enrolled. The original grade will remain on the transcript. 90% higher A The second grade will appear on the transcript. The higher of the two grades will be figured in the grade point 80% higher B average and class rank. SI DE OF THE MAI N ENTRANCE EXCEPTIONS Extenuating circumstances or the “out of the norm” situations may exist that do not meet the above criteria, but in which a recommendation to take a CBC course is in the best educational interest of the student. G ra d e s Grades will be entered into PowerSchool once the course has been completed. A Certificate of Completion will be issued to the student, the home school, and entered into the student’s file once the course has been completed These exceptions will be approved through the home school counselor, principal, and the Director of Alternative Education. The Director of Alternative Education will receive communication on the exception. The exception MUST be noted on the referral form for CBC enrollment as it may necessitate different expectations or record keeping. (i.e. NCAA requirements for athletes). Fees Courses are to be completed in one semester. A $80 fee will be do at the time of enrollment. Accommodations are If not completed by the deadline, then the student MUST re-enroll and PAY for the class again the next semester. The student’s progress available through the home will roll over into the next semester as long as it was completed within six months. Students will be locked out of the Plato course until schools ONLY. Please see you counselor for more details. Home they have re-enrolled with a CBC instructor.
