The VF 100
VF Corporation is pleased to recognize our associates’ efforts to improving the communities in
which we work and live with the VF 100. This community service program sets the gold
standard for volunteerism by our associates. VF will recognize the 100 associates who
accumulate the highest number of community service hours. Recipients will be honored with a
donation of $1,000 from the Corporation on their behalf to the qualified charity of their choice.
Eligible Participants
All active full-time and part-time associates who average 20 hours per week VF Associates who
have been employed for at least 1 year prior to June 30th of each program year are eligible to
enter.
Retirees, Directors, inactive employees on leaves of absence or long-term disability, relatives of
employees, or surviving spouses of deceased employees are not eligible to participate in this program.
Eligible Types of Volunteer Service
Volunteer service projects that count toward total program hours must be activities that benefit
the general community. These include, but are not limited to: reading, tutoring, neighborhood
revitalization, Board participation, committee work, and fundraising.
 Activities do not need to be limited to 501(c)(3) organizations; however if they are not,
the organization must have reasonable recognition in the community as a legitimate
organization and the service must benefit the community, not the organization.
Coalitions will determine if local groups qualify.
 Activities must be in addition to and separate from job duties.
Examples of approved activities:
 Neighborhood revitalization projects (excluding Homeowners Associations)
 Mentoring or tutoring students (other than your own child)
 Being a board member for a qualified non-profit institution
 Organizing or actively volunteering at a fundraiser for a qualified organization
 Working in a soup kitchen (even if sponsored by religious organization so long as it is
open to the public).
 Coaching organized athletic teams through recognized organizations (i.e. Little League,
YMCA, etc.). Company-sponsored or social teams are not eligible.
 Blood, plasma and platelet donations (1 hour of service is credited for each blood
donation and 2 hours of service is credited for each plasma donation. For platelet
donation, 2 hours is credited for a single donation plus an additional 1.5 hour if giving a
double or triple donation).
