C. 3 months in general surgery D. 3 months in general intensive care E. 3 months pediatric orthopedics F. 3 months hand surgery G. 3 months in one of the following: rehabilitation, neurology, neurosurgery, vascular surgery, trauma unit. 5½ years, as follows: A. 6 months general surgery B. 4¼ years plastic surgery and 3 months in a burn unit (not necessarily in a department of plastic surgery). C. 3 months in a unit for hand surgery, or, in a hospital that has no unit for hand surgery, 3 months in a department of orthopedic surgery that includes hand surgery and employs at least one specialist in hand surgery. D. 3 months in one of the following: ear, nose and throat; maxillo-facial surgery; dermatology; urological surgery; general surgery; ophthalmology. 5 ½ years, as follows: A. 4 ¼ years urologic surgery (one of which must be during the first three years of residency) B. 1 year general surgery, which must be during the first three years of residency. C. 3 months in one of the following: vascular surgery, pediatric surgery, plastic surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, nephrology, general intensive care, diagnostic radiology, organ transplants, oncology. 4 ½ years, as follows: A. 6 months internal medicine, and it is mandatory to perform them within the first two years of the residency. B. 3 ½ years dermatology and venereal diseases. C. 3 months in each of two of the following: clinical immunology and allergology, endocrinology, pediatrics, oncology, psychiatry, plastic surgery, infectious diseases, medical genetics, pediatric dermatology, anatomic pathology. 5 ½ years, as follows: A. 4 years and 9 months in an ear, nose and throat department B. 3 months in general surgery or in intensive care or in anesthesiology C. 6 consecutive months or two periods of 3 months each in the following fields: general surgery, intensive care, pediatric Title Residency intensive care, anesthesiology, neurosurgery, neurology, genetics, mouth and gum surgery, plastic surgery, vascular surgery, ophthalmology, imaging. Note: One cannot do more than 6 months total in general surgery, general intensive care or anesthesiology, during the course of residency. 20. Specialist in ophthalmology 4 ½ years, as follows: A. 4 years ophthalmology B. 6 months in one or 3 months in any two of the following: pediatrics, plastic surgery, neurology, neurosurgery, internal medicine, diagnostic radiology, anesthesiology, ear, nose and throat. 4 ½ years, as follows: A. 3 ¼ years anesthesiology, including anesthesia for urological surgery, orthopedic surgery, thoracic surgery (including open heart and closed heart surgery), general surgery, neurosurgery, plastic surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatric surgery, ophthalmologic surgery, surgery of the ear, nose and throat, recovery (3 months are mandatory in one of the following: obstetrics and gynecology, pediatric surgery, recovery); B. 6 consecutive months or 2 periods of 3 months each in general intensive care; C. 3 months pain clinic; D. 3 months in each of two of the following: internal medicine, pediatrics, gastroenterology, nephrology, cardiology, pulmonary disease, neurology, pediatric intensive care, neonatology, emergency medicine; 5 ½ years, as follows: A. 4 ½ years obstetrics, gynecology and fertility, as follows: 1 ½ years obstetrics 1 year gynecology 6 months fertility 1 ½ years obstetrics and gynecology B. One year elective, consisting of either: 6 months in each of two of the following or 4 months in each of three of the following: general surgery, urological surgery, anesthesiology, general intensive care, endocrinology, premature births, oncology, public health (mother and child clinic or women’s health clinic), ultrasound, IVF, medical genetics, pediatric endocrinology. 4 ½ years, as follows: A. 3 years and 9 months diagnostic radiology B. 3 months nuclear medicine C. 6 months in one of the following: pediatrics, general surgery, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery; or 3 months in one of the following: pediatrics, general surgery, internal medicine and 3 months in a clinical department or institute of a general hospital. One of the following two tracks: A. Medical oncology 5 years, as follows: A. 3 years medical oncology B. 1 year radiotherapy C. 9 months internal medicine D. 3 months in one of the following fields: general intensive care, general surgery, ear, nose and throat, diagnostic radiology, hematology, obstetrics and gynecology, gastroenterology, bone marrow transplants, dermatology, anatomic pathology, medical genetics. 21. One of the following two tracks: 30 months community services and 6 months epidemiology or 30 months epidemiology and 6 months community services. Note: During this period, the resident shall complete a recognized academic course ending in a Ph.D, Dr.P.H or M.P.H in epidemiology, M.Med.Sc in epidemiology, or M.Sc.in epidemiology. B. 6 months internal medicine or pediatrics C. 6 months in one of the following or 3 months in each of two of the following: a clinical department or institute in a general hospital, medical administration or family medicine in a recognized institution. 4½ years, as follows: A. 3 1/3 years physical medicine and rehabilitation B. 6 months internal medicine C. 8 months, consisting of 4 months in each of two of the following: neurosurgery, orthopedic surgery, psychiatry, neurology, cardiac rehabilitation, child development, geriatrics, clinical electro-physiology, rheumatology, neuro-radiology. 4 ½ years, as follows: A. 1 year clinical biochemistry (including endocrinology, immunology and toxicology tests) B. 1 year internal medicine or pediatrics C. 1 year clinical microbiology (including viral, micrology and parasitology tests) Title 29.
