CLASSES & CHAMPIONSHIPS FOR REGISTERED & UNREGISTERED HORSES,
DAY MEMBERSHIP AVAILABLE
INCORPORATING QUALIFYING CLASSES FOR THE STAR SEEKER OPEN
CHAMPIONSHIPS
RIHS Qualifying Classes followed by the Open Classes for the British Miniature Horse
Society will start at 11.30am – Entry fee £10.00 per class for RIHS Qualifiers & £7.00
per class for Open Classes.
Entries Close Monday 11th May 2015 Late entries will be accepted on the day. RIHS
classes £15.00 and Open classes £10.00
Stabling is available at the venue from Thursday evening for competitors coming from Devon County or
should you wish to stay for the NPS show on Monday, cost £24.00 per stable per night. Stables to be
booked via the entry form.

stables over multiple days please ask Tim for discount. Electric hook up also available, please book with
stabling.
No horses to stay overnight in Lorries. Shower block (50p coin to use) & toilets on site. Stables not
cleaned out will incur a £50.00 penalty charge

DIRECTIONS: Directions from: Junction 30 on the M5 (approximately 15 minutes). Leave the M5 at Junction 30.
Take the 4th exit at Sandygate roundabout onto the A376 signposted Exmouth/Sidmouth. At the next roundabout
take the 3rd exit onto the A376 signposted Exmouth. At the next roundabout take the 1 st exit onto the B3179
signposted to Budleigh Salterton. At Four Firs Crossroads continue forward signposted Yettington, East Budleigh.
Continue along this road, through the village of Yettington until you see the Bicton Arena signposted. Turn left
through the iron gates; follow the private road and the parking signs.

Affiliated to the British Miniature Horse Society and run under BMHS Show Rules
All horses must be registered for showing with the BMHS except in classes79 to 87.
Owners and Handlers entering horses in classes 73 to 78 must be paid up showing members
of the British Miniature Horse Society.
All horses to be measured prior to start of classes.

CHAMPIONSHIP –
First and second prize winners from classes 73 to 78 qualify to compete for the
Championship. The Champion qualifies for the Supreme Champion of Champions class at
the BMHS International Breed Show 2015.
Classes 79 to 87 are open to registered and un-registered horse not exceeding 92 cm. These classes are
open to all Miniature horses regardless of registration, and owners and handlers do not need to be
members of the BMHS. Winners in each class will qualify to compete at the BMHS Breed Show on the 5 th
September 2015, provided that the owner and handler of the horse becomes a member of the BMHS within
28 days of the show. Winners of Classes 82, 83 & 84 will qualify for the “Star Seeker Championship” to be
held at the BMHS Breed Show in September. The winner of that Championship will, subject to vetting, be
eligible for the BMHS Stud Book and will qualify for the RIHS 2016 in its appropriate class. All horses put
forward for the Championship must be under the BMHS maxi height (92cms) and only those conforming to
BMHS Standard height (87cms) are eligible for registration onto the Stud Book and eligible to compete at
the RIHS 2016.
Horses will not be measured on the day but will be measured when attending the Championship classes at
the BMHS Breed Show.

Winners of Classes 82, 83 & 84 qualify for the “Star Seeker Championship” to be held
at the BMHS Breed Show in September. The winner of that Championship, if not
registered, will be eligible for registration (subject to vetting). Owners/Handlers must
apply for membership with the BMHS within 28 days.
