CURRENT SEMESTER WITHDRAWAL
Please see the department of the class from which you wish to Withdraw about its
particular procedures. The Department will inform you of its procedures for requesting
Current Semester Withdrawals. Refer to the Department Requirements chart here.
Regardless of the department’s particular procedures, the department will enter the
Withdrawal request in the University’s online system. The College of Liberal & Creative
Arts Dean’s office accepts Current Semester Withdrawals through this online system
only—paper petitions will not be accepted at the Dean’s level.
The most important part of your Current Semester Withdrawal request is your
justification for the Withdrawal.
Write your reason for the Withdrawal carefully, reflecting a serious and compelling
reason beyond your control. Please see the College Withdrawal Policy linked here.
If there is an issue with your Withdrawal justification, you will be informed by a
representative from the department of the class from which you wish to Withdraw.
