The Legacy Loop and More!

The Fountain Creek Watershed is 927 square miles of land/water and elevation gain; a watershed of extremes.

A question was asked if people could raft in the creek. Allison stated that the quality of the water may be questionable.

There have been changes in the Watershed.

In the past, storm water was treated as a waste product. There was not much concern for non-point pollutants or downstream neighbors.

Note, our bike trails are along the waterways.

They are now using preventative planning; remedial planning and utilize natural processes (no concrete channels).

Greenway: recreational use or environmental protection.

Emerald Circle, Legacy Loop is a 10-mile trail loop. Enjoy Monument Valley Park with no street crossings.
