Ocean Plastic - Consequences and Solutions
21stJuly 2014

Plastic waste in the marine environment poses a serious threat to wildlife and ecosystems globally. It also
has a significant economic impact, affecting fishermen's livelihoods, coastal recreation and tourism.
Organised by Rame Peninsula Beach Care with support from the National Marine Aquarium, Plymouth, the

perspectives and discuss latest developments in addressing this problem.
Delegates will be invited from a wide range of sectors – research, plastics industry, environmental and
beach cleaning groups, fishing industry, innovative designers, policy makers, local politicians and media.
