Lori Cooper moved & Barb Recla seconded to approve the minutes as read. Motion carried. Correspondence: None Treasurer’s report: None Committee Reports District II Horse Council report was given by Andrea Thompson. Next meeting will be 4/8. Horse Oral Presentations will be Saturday 4/5 at Emmett Middle School. Horse Judging & Hippology will be 6/7. Location TBA. Horse Camp is 6/19-6/22. Registration is due by 5/9. District Horse Camp Scholarships are due tomorrow 4/4. Idaho Horsemanship Award performance test will be 9/14. Working Ranch Horse report was given by Riley Dolin. At the last WRH program they worked on branding, roping, working cattle, horsemanship, opening & closing gates on horseback. They also learned about cattle breeds & calving. Program is great! Western Heritage Clinic report was given by Lori Cooper. Next 3 programs will be at 3K Ranch from 9-12 on 4/26, 5/17, & 6/21. They are planning a Ranch Versatility Qualifier at 3K. Details TBA. Fair Supervisors’ report was given by Barb Recla. Nothing new to report. Hope to have books at next meeting. Rules Committee: Nothing to report. Youth Competitions: Horse Judging: Nothing to report. Horse Bowl: Nothing to report. Horse Oral Presentations report was given by Maranda Phillips. Contest was held Saturday 3/8 at Healthwise. There were 13 participants. Everyone qualified for District. Contest went well & there were no complaints. Hippology report was given by Andrea Thompson. Contest will be held Saturday 4/26 at Ten Mile Riding Club. Flier will be out soon. Old business: None New business: Ada County English Shows: report was given by Ginny Kelsch. Schooling show will be held 5/31 & judged show will be held 7/12 at WIF. Ginny needs someone to be in charge of concessions. Everyone needs to spread the word since this a county fundraiser. Megan Kelsch, Zane Charters, Brianne Charters, Shawn Charters, & Andrea Thompson have volunteered to help. Megan Kelsch is becoming an Idaho State Judge. She will be giving private & group lessons & clinics to 4-H’ers on Showmanship, English & Western riding, ground training, Trail, Reining, Public Speaking, Horse Judging, Clipping, Braiding, & Banding.
