To provide a forum for discussion of presentations & cases which span the Paediatric & CAMHS (child & adolescent mental health) specialities. 2. To increase general paediatric & CAMHS knowledge, multidisciplinary & partnership working. Target Audience: 1. General paediatricians & doctors in training. Paediatric nurse specialists &members of the Allied Health Professions interested in general paediatrics. 2. Psychiatrists & psychologists with an interest in children & adolescents. Keynote Speaker: Dr Libby Ashurst, Forensic Psychologist, specializing in F-CAMHS. Libby served as a uniformed police officer & then as a detective in a U.K. police force. She holds a B.Sc. in Psychology; a Master’s in Applied Forensic Psychology & a PhD from Queens University Belfast in which she designed, developed & tested a General Training Model for Improving Professional Practice of Case Managers: Using Practitioners Working with Young People Displaying Sexually Harmful Behaviour for an Exemplar. This research also formed the basis of a paper written & presented for The National (USA) Human Services Training Evaluation Network at Cornell University. Libby is a chartered psychologist & a registered Forensic Psychologist with the Health & Care Professions Council & is presently working independently in the specialist field of Forensic Adolescent Mental Health. She has worked for a& consulted for a number of organisations in Northern Ireland including the PSNI; Youth Justice Agency; Social Services; Clinical Lead Barnardo’s HSB Service, Belfast & also holds the position of visiting Forensic Psychologist for a private provider offering child & adolescent mental health services within a residential care & education provision in the North East of England. Libby is currently working on developing a suite of intervention programmes for adolescents who display harmful sexual behaviours & she has published in her area of expertise.
