This is an invitation to all interested persons to create a SPEEDWAY MUSEUM at the
South Coast Restoration Society (SCRS) grounds, Pimpama, on the northern end of
the Gold Coast.
A choice of three sites is available free of charge.
Any person interested in forming a group to discuss the above matter please contact

The aim of the museum is to try to promote and preserve speedway history, in turn
strengthening the clubs in Qld. Our intention is to hold a meeting at the SCRS
grounds on SUNDAY 8th March, 2015. This weekend is their open weekend to the
public and their INAUGURAL SWAPMEET – there is a $5 entry fee at the gate.
To register your attendance re the museum meeting please sign in at the top gate
where you will then receive your FREE MORNING TEA ticket. A get together will be
held at the lower clubhouse after morning tea at 11.30am to discuss the museum and
to choose one of the three sites.
This site has been chosen because of security on the grounds 7 days a week by way
of a caretaker living on site.
We look forward to interested person/s making contact regarding this project so
further negotiations can take place.
-----------oOo----------*** Travelling SOUTH, take exit 49 at the old Strawberry Farm at Pimpama, at the
roundabout at the top of the exit take the exit across the M1 and exit onto Rifle Range
Road. Travelling NORTH, take exit 49 and at the roundabout take the 1st exit onto
Rifle Range Road. Entry to the grounds is approx. 600mtrs on the right.
