Michael has been building relationships and recruiting students in the Qufu area for several years now and has the support of the Jinan City (closest major city to Qufu) Municipal administration, Qufu Travel Bureau, and the Confucius Institute. All of whom understand and recognize our sincere interest in having a true relationship with them. Having a study abroad program in Qufu will deepen our relationship and greatly enhance our efforts in growing the Dixie name and gaining greater recognition in one of our major focal recruiting areas. Our major support in the area and who will be coordinating and providing guides, interpreters, etc. is David Chan president of World Sky International. World Sky has a staffed office in Jinan and is an official recruiting agent for Dixie State College. World Sky coordinated performance venues and was a major supporter for the Raging Red visit to Jinan and Qufu this past May. Xian Michael Thompson will coordinate and guide the group from Qufu to Xian to visit the Terracotta Warriors and then on to Beijing the next day. Beijing The group will be met by Philip Zhang and his staff that will be coordinating and supporting the groups final stage of the program. Philip will be coordinating all activities, meals, tour guides, transportation, accommodations, and taking care of all our needs in Beijing. Philip and his staff have been the in-country tour coordinators for both of the Raging Red visits to China.
