North Kesteven Centre launches UK’s first Underwater Sound Sessions
for mums-to-be
10 March 2015: The North Kesteven Centre has become the first and only
place in the country to offer Underwater Sound Sessions for pregnant women,
which will launch on Tuesday 17th March.
Aqson will run the sessions, beginning on Tuesday 17th March from 8pm until
9pm. By using an underwater sound system, the sessions provide relaxation
for mum and baby, can enhance development and build a strong bond
between mother and child – the water allows the sound to be heard from
within the womb more clearly than it would be through the air. The one-hour
long sessions are priced at £7.50 and are available to members and nonmembers at the centre.
Matt Stothard, Contract Manager at North Kesteven Centre, commented:
“It’s a pleasure to be able to offer these classes to soon-to-be mums across
the community, and to be the only centre currently doing so in the UK. The
classes promote bonding between mother and child and relaxation which
provides excellent benefits for pregnant ladies and we expect the sessions to
be very popular.”
