Post base: Office-based Level: 5 Job purpose To undertake research in line with the Psychology Department’s research strategy, to contribute to the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and the Cognitive Therapy Programmes, and, more generally, to teach within your speciality within clinical psychology, and to participate in administration within the Psychology Department. Key accountabilities/primary responsibilities 1. To provide support in the development of Clinical Psychology and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) research and training. 2. To support the teaching objectives of the Psychology Department by delivering teaching and supervision to students, particularly within the Clinical Psychology and Cognitive Therapy Programmes. Involvement in other programmes (postgraduate or undergraduate) will be as agreed with Head of Psychology Department. 3. To undertake placement visiting for students on the D.Clin programme 4. To develop and carry out an area of personal research, ensuring high-level scientific quality and impact through collaboration and dissemination, as appropriate. 5. To publish findings in quality peer-reviewed journals, present results at conferences, and disseminate work at appropriate events. 6. To contribute to the efficient management and administration of the DClinPsych and Cognitive Therapy Programmes, the Psychology Department of Psychology, the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences, and the University. 20% Internal and external relationships Member of relevant boards relating to the DClinPsych and Cognitive Therapy Programmes, and such committees relevant to other administrative duties. Research priorities will be collaboratively agreed within the Psychology Department of Psychology. Teaching and administrative duties will be allocated by the Head of Psychology. Special Requirements To attend national and international conferences for the purpose of disseminating research results, and contribute to national and international bodies (e.g. professional associations, funding organisations, government bodies). Eligibility for HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist (Clinical) and BABCP accreditation (or eligibility for accreditation) as a CBT therapist are essential, Membership of the BPS and the Division of Clinical Psychology are desirable.
