Students and Parents,
Attached is the Band Camp Week 1 schedule. This will be our sectional week, meaning the students will only meet with their common instrument.
The Drum Major, Colorguard, Drumline and Front Ensemble (mallets, auxillary) students will meet all day from 8:00am-5:30pm. The Low Wind
sectional will include the tuba, trombone, bari sax, and tenor sax. After the allotted sectional time, any student in that group will stay an additional
45 minutes for a lesson in marching basics. Again, this will only happen once daily after the new marcher’s sectional. This includes any marchers
who have not marched a season with Ms. Clevenger. The soloist time slot is for any wind student interested in learning the solos for our Dreams of
Persia show. If you did not sign up at the end of school for solo music, you may still attend this sectional and audition.
Please submit these schedule to your student’s work as soon as possible. If for some reason you cannot make your sectional time, please contact
Ms. Clevenger.
This is our week to learn and memorize our show music and our new parade tune. Please be at least 10 minutes early for your sectional time to
allow yourself time to gather your instrument, music, pencil, chair and music stand. Please be quiet and courteous to other students in their
sectional when you enter in and out of the bandroom. New marchers, please wear or bring tennis shoes with your for your marching practice.
