N NOTARO HOMES LTD JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title: Care Support Worker Responsible to: Deputy Manager Accountable to: Registered Manager Purpose of role: To provide all necessary support to people living at the service enabling them to live an active and fulfilled life, whilst promoting a happy and friendly environment, incorporating N Notaro Homes Ltd ethos, set within the company aims and objectives, company policies and procedures and whilst adhering to CQC regulations/legislations and guidelines. To familiarise with and follow company policies and procedures To abide by the employment hand book policies To promote good team work practices To carry out the correct use of equipment and report any faults To report any incidents and accidents to your manager on duty To report any concerns or observations regarding any matter concerning the comfort and welfare of our service users promptly, abiding by safeguarding vulnerable adults guidelines To adhere to company confidentiality practices To observe the safe custody of people’s possessions as required To produce, with people, a person centred care/support plan and review every month Enable and encourage people to have meaningful input into the day to day running of their home To support people on an individual basis To respect people’s privacy, dignity and choice To liaise with people’s friends, relatives and care professionals to develop and monitor, with them, their care and support plans To support people to use mainstream heath services, transport and sport and leisure facilities and become actively involved within the community Care Support Worker MH ~ Nov 2014 16. To support a non-restrictive environment which allows people to grow and develop to their full potential To identify the best way to meet people’s expectations and goals To encourage people through daily occupations and activities Support people to plan their finance and purchase and cook their meals To encourage and support people to process their own laundry and participate in household cleanliness To support people to maintain a good standard of personal health and hygiene giving full assistance where needed.
